CHALLENGE: Make a quilt measuring 20"x12" each week for the year 2012. These "sketches" should be experimental in nature, approached intuitively and completed quickly. A random theme/inspiration will be decided on each Sunday evening with the deadline of completion each Sunday morning (1 week). A quilt shall be loosely defined as a product consisting of three layers. Send a picture to me by Sunday morning and I will be happy to post it. Consider it a "Trolley Challenge"--hop on and off at will.

Week 42 - JUMPING FROM A DISTANCE
On October 14, 2012, Felix Baumgartner broke the sound barrier and the world record for the highest, fastest jump. An article from Allvoices website is quoted as saying
"Jumping from such a high altitude was not an easy task, and many months went into its planning. Despite the planning and forward thinking a lot of problems were still encountered on the day of the jump, but Baumgartner did not think of turning back even once."
Can we relate that to our own work? Interesting. . .

Week 41 - NEW TERRITORIES
In celebration of Columbus Day, New Territories seemed like an appropriate challenge. Venturing to areas we have not ventured before is the theme for the next week's challenge.

Week 32 - DOUBLE VISION
When you get to a certain age, there seems to be a lot of fuss about glasses. And, whenever I have an eye exam, for days afterwards it seems as if I am constantly asking myself, "Can I see better or worse?"

Week 31 - TIES THAT BIND
Friendship Day is celebrated on August 5th this year, the first Sunday in August. Why not spend time with an old chum quilting this week's challenge.
"Two may talk together under the same roof for many years, yet never really meet; and two others at first speech are old friends"

Week 26 - WILD ABANDON
Week 26 - the halfway mark.
Why not use this week to hop on and join the challenge. It is also a great time to look back at past challenges and choose one that is particularly interesting to you and submit to that one. Heck, try your hand at three or four of the past categories.
Go at it with Wild Abandon!!!

Week 21 - MEMORIES
With Memorial Day weekend next weekend, one cannot help but to think of memories and what they are made of. Here in the States, it's the beginning of the summer season, planting is a top priority, picnic tables are pulled out and you have the A-okay to wear white pants.
