Quilt 2012

CHALLENGE: Make a quilt measuring 20"x12" each week for the year 2012. These "sketches" should be experimental in nature, approached intuitively and completed quickly. A random theme/inspiration will be decided on each Sunday evening with the deadline of completion each Sunday morning (1 week). A quilt shall be loosely defined as a product consisting of three layers. Send a picture to me by Sunday morning and I will be happy to post it. Consider it a "Trolley Challenge"--hop on and off at will.

Spring has come very early this year and glorious nature is merrily sprouting. That, coupled with just returning from moving our eldest child into a new apartment in DC determined this week's challenge - Seedlings.

Week 12 - VERNAL EQUINOX

The vernal equinox and the start of Spring is on March 20th.

According to folklore, you can stand a raw egg on its end during the equinox, wonder if that is true.
